Job Description
TW Transport is a well-known, respected, family-owned bulk transport company based in Yaldhurst. We operate a fleet of modern Scania, Mack, and Nissan trucks which are expertly maintained. We are looking for a Class 5 truck driver for our Greenwaste truck and trailer unit that removes the dumped green waste from several locations around Christchurch and tips it at our composting facility.
This position requires loading the truck with a 20t digger with grabs so experience on an excavator is essential. At this stage, this position is available from ASAP to the end of February and therefore will be a casual/temporary position.
Requirements:
- Have a Class 5 license.
- Have experience with bulk tipping.
- W/T/R endorsements.
- Work well with others.
- Have a good geographical knowledge of the Canterbury area and beyond.
- Be a careful and diligent driver who looks after and regularly cleans and maintains the trucks they are allocated.
- Be able to accurately complete pre-start checks and daily job sheets.
- Be able to work unsupervised.
- Be available to work as required including some weekends and night work.
- Be flexible.
- Be able to follow instructions while at the same time using initiative and common sense when necessary.
- Be safety conscious.
