There will be a special focus on managing the transport logistics associated with the cartage of spoil for the Central Interceptor project. This includes the coordination of transport resources and there will be a requirement to be based on the project's sites, as and when required.
You would be responsible for a fleet of trucks and drivers that could total more than 30 on any given day.
Responsibilities:
Safety & Welfare of Staff and Sub-contractors.
Management of driving staff on a daily basis, ensuring the company's policies and procedures are followed at all times.
Scheduling of all fleet maintenance requirements, both routine and unplanned.
Supporting Coordinator with the allocation of work, as and when required.
Ensuring operations are carried out to a high degree of efficiency and comply with regulatory & legislative requirements at all times.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A positive attitude and a strong work ethic.
Requirements:
Current class 4 license (needed on day one).
Current class 5 & W, T, R endorsements (we can help you get these if you don't have them)
Strong people management skills.
Competent in using Microsoft suite of products, particularly Excel.
