Job Description


An icon on the waterfront in Tauranga, this restaurant is part of a group of three stable and successful establishments. The Owners have decades of experience owning stable and effective venues with an ambiance that appeals to customers and highly trained professional wait staff. With so much experience management knows how to attract individuals and groups through excellent cuisine and a welcoming touch only sometimes encountered within the hospitality scene.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring the quality of food on an ongoing basis.
  • Creating and maintaining the kitchen’s budget.
  • Making certain food hygiene and safety rules and regulations are adhered to at all times.
  • Planning menus and managing stock, as well as ensuring quality of food and overseeing meal presentation.
  • Managing a team of 7, including participating in the hiring and review of staff.
  • Planning rosters and assigning tasks to other Chefs.
  • Making certain of customer satisfaction by expediently dealing with issues as they arise presentation.
