The ideal candidate will have experience in creating and executing menus for a high volume of customers while maintaining high standards of quality. We want someone with a passion for food who also gets excited about being a part of establishing a good reputation for a new bar and restaurant in the suburbs.
Responsibilities:
Leading and managing the kitchen team of up to 10 staff.
Oversee all aspects of food prep, ensuring all dishes are served to a high quality.
Develop and create menus that work within budgets and seasonal availability.
Maintain stock levels and control costs to maximize profitability.
Train kitchen staff and create a positive team environment.
Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations.
Ensuring your own safety and that of other staff and residents by; understanding and complying with Health and Safety policy and procedures, wearing protective clothing and using protective equipment, reporting any pain or discomfort as soon as possible, reporting all accidents and incidents, and communicating any health and safety concerns to your manager.
Work closely with the general manager to improve operations and exceed customer expectations.
Stay updated with industry trends and incorporate new techniques and ingredients into menu offerings.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Head Chef in a similar venue.
Strong leadership and people management skills.
Great communication with the ability to encourage and inspire a team.
Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
Creative mindset and a passion for the hospitality industry.
