Job Description


Hiring an experienced, Despatch Coordinator in Hamilton with a background in logistics and coordination with good command over language. Detail-oriented with good personality, friendly attitude, able to manage despatch operations effectively. Skilled in coordinating with various teams and making sure, timely deliveries. Available for immediate hire.

Responsibilities:

  • Be prompt in answering phones and customers' calls.
  • Take inquiries from customers and process these promptly.
  • Ensure customer's contact details and requirements are recorded neatly.
  • Call customers back when required, in a prompt manner.
  • Enter jobs into the company’s dispatch software.
  • Book in for container parks and other customer sites.
  • Site visits for jobs
  • Working with iCOS Software would be an added advantage but not essential along with a good understanding of Swinglifts and their processes.
  • Manage drivers.
  • Ensure drivers complete timesheets in accordance with the companies ‘Key On / Key Off’ policy.
  • Ensure divers accurately complete daily maintenance checks.
  • Ensure drivers secure all loads in accordance with safe loading and unloading procedures.
  • Ensure drivers have checked their vehicles for roadworthiness before work.
  • Ensure all deliveries are on time, undamaged, and according to client instructions.
  • Ensuring all documentation is accurate and in compliance with customer requirements.
