As a site supervisor (carpenter), you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and effective completion of construction projects. You will be responsible for supervising and coordinating all on-site construction activities, managing all onsite activities, and ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and lead the subcontractors onsite, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and in compliance with project plans and specifications.
Review and interpret project plans and design documentation to determine materials, tools, equipment, and labor requirements.
Coordinate with the director, subcontractors, and other building professionals to ensure project milestones are met.
Train and mentor team members, promoting a culture of safety and craftsmanship.
Conduct regular quality control inspections to maintain quality building standards.
Manage project schedules and resourcing.
Collaborate with the project management team to address any issues or challenges that may arise during construction.
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
Prepare a daily site diary or logs.
Qualifications:
Experience in coordinating projects with at least 2 years in a supervisory role in the building industry.
Certificate III in Carpentry Strong knowledge of building techniques and methods, including building codes and regulations.
Experience with Buildxact.
Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to read and interpret project plans and design documents knowledge of safety guidelines and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
A valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
