Job Description


 

As a site supervisor (carpenter), you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and effective completion of construction projects. You will be responsible for supervising and coordinating all on-site construction activities, managing all onsite activities, and ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and lead the subcontractors onsite, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and in compliance with project plans and specifications.
  • Review and interpret project plans and design documentation to determine materials, tools, equipment, and labor requirements.
  • Coordinate with the director, subcontractors, and other building professionals to ensure project milestones are met.
  • Train and mentor team members, promoting a culture of safety and craftsmanship.
  • Conduct regular quality control inspections to maintain quality building standards.
  • Manage project schedules and resourcing.
  • Collaborate with the project management team to address any issues or challenges that may arise during construction.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
  • Prepare a daily site diary or logs.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in coordinating projects with at least 2 years in a supervisory role in the building industry.
  • Certificate III in Carpentry Strong knowledge of building techniques and methods, including building codes and regulations.
  • Experience with Buildxact.
  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret project plans and design documents knowledge of safety guidelines and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
