We are seeking a shift electrician to join our maintenance team based at our Kunwarara operations. The shift electrician position is responsible for providing the optimum performance and availability of the plant’s electrical machinery and systems at our Kunwarara operations. This position also requires the installation and maintenance of new and existing plants and equipment. The position will be permanent, full-time, on a continuous shift roster to support the 24-hour plant operations.

About the Role
As the shift electrician, you will:

  • Assist all members of QMAG in need of assistance with electrical faults associated with the function of the plant.
  • Perform statutory testing and inspections to maintain Australian Standards (AS-3000).
  • PLC and Citect programming modifications when required.
  • Installation and calibration of all plant instruments, belt weighers, weighing platforms, load calibration, and testing.
  • Developing and installing various control systems to improve the efficiency and productivity of existing plant operations.

Requirements:
We are looking for someone who has the following:

  • Electrical Fitter/Mechanic Trade Certified.
  • Current LVR/CPR Certificates.
  • Instrumentation and Control Experience (Desirable).
  • High Voltage Switching – Stage 1 & 2 (Desirable).
