Job Description
Located next to Texas QLD town, we require general maintenance and farmhand to assist in maintaining and improving our small block with 1 house and 1 cottage located on the premises. We are currently seeking a casual, highly motivated employee that is able to work unsupervised to assist in day-to-day maintenance and also improvements to both the paddocks and properties. This role suits someone with previous handyman and general farmhand experience looking for additional income or a casual part-time role. Plenty of long-term, ongoing independent work with flexible hours and days that suit the successful candidate Previous experience in all tasks is preferred but not essential.
General duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Operating tractor and equipment.
- Irrigation and tank installations.
- Shed renovation.
- Fencing.
- Painting.
- Basic carpentry.
- Basic welding.
- Maintain a small flock of Australian white sheep.
- Overall small farm and property maintenance.
Requirements:
- Willing to work fast and have a busy day working to time.
- Experience operating farm machinery.
- Commitment to safety cleanliness and quality.
- MUST be able to work independently.
- MUST be Texas or surrounding areas based and have the right to work in Australia.
