Job Description
Hendo's is a small plumbing and gasfitting business based in South Tweed but works predominantly around the southern Gold Coast. There are plenty of jobs per day, but not a whole lot of travel time because everything is usually close by. Our main client is Home Assist Secure, which is a government-funded, St. Vincent de Paul Society-funded company for pensioners who need a little help affording trade services. This means we work closely with the elderly and people with disabilities. That said, you will meet people from all walks of life, so it is highly recommended that you are a nice and considerate person with a good sense of humor (you may even be forced to stay for a cup of tea and scones if you're lucky). Our private work (not HA) takes up about 30% of our week. This usually includes bathroom, laundry, and kitchen renovations, water leaks, blockages, toilet installations, stormwater work, and general plumbing repair, so a broad knowledge of plumbing is a must.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- General plumbing and gas maintenance
- Bathroom, kitchen, and laundry rough-in and fit-offs
- Most of our business is conducted on smartphones, daily planners, messaging, calling, and invoicing customers.
- Blocked drains (sewer and stormwater)
Qualifications & experience:
- Cert III in Plumbing.
- QBCC occupation licence.
- Gas fitting licence (ideally).
- Restricted electrical licence (ideally).
- Great communication skills.
- Positive attitude.
- White card (for government work) & police check.
- Drivers licence.
- Ideally 2+ years experience in maintenance plumbing.
