They are currently seeking an experienced permanent electrician in Geelong for the afternoon shift. Afternoon Shift: 2.30p.m.–10.30p.m. Monday to Friday, 4 weeks of annual leave. You will join the maintenance team and carry out electrical maintenance and breakdowns. This position will suit a hands-on, self-motivated individual with maintenance experience in the manufacturing or processing industry.
Key responsibilities:
Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and/or mechanical faults with plant equipment and facilities in a safe and timely manner, compliant with WHSE and AU standards.
Ensure timely and effective completion of assigned PM tasks, updating relevant details into the CMMS system (MEX).
Assist with documenting preventative maintenance tasks, inventory management, and procedures.
Analyze information and use root cause and recurrence prevention techniques to solve breakdowns and problems.
Engaging in improvements to reduce equipment downtime, improve equipment reliability and quality, and eliminate waste.
Liaising with stakeholders to prioritize plant issues and plant availability to perform programmed maintenance tasks efficiently.
Requirements:
Previous experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
Exceptional skills with fault finding.
Must hold a current Victorian Electrical license.
Ability to work autonomously within a team environment.
A strong focus on safety.
Knowledge within the glass industry is advantageous.
