Job Description


We are seeking casual reception staff to work on a seven-day roster with our committed team. Comprehensive on-the-job training is provided, and the role would suit someone looking for a career in tourism.

Regular daily tasks include:

  • Guest communication via phone and email
  • Greeting guests at the front desk and welcoming them to our city
  • Coordinating arrivals and departures
  • Reporting issues to the management and maintenance teams
  • Processing payments and deposits
  • Perform the accurate and timely completion of the night audit, including the daily reconciliation of the hotel’s trading.
  • Preparation of the next-day cleaning schedule and roster
  • Checking in and checking out of guests from the hotel
  • Responding promptly to guest inquiries
  • Inputting and updating reservation profiles
  • Following the shift routine check-list to ensure all tasks are completed in a timely manner
  • Coordinating restaurant reservations

Skills and attributes:

  • Computer literate (Microsoft Office), Room master and MYOB experience is an advantage.
  • Attention to detail, flexible and reliable.
  • Ability to multi task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Guest orientated with excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • A solid work ethic.
  • An outstanding "can do" attitude.
