Job Description


We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Automotive Service Helper to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for moving tools, equipment, and materials, signaling safety procedures, and cleaning machines and work areas. They will also assist in adjusting, repairing, or replacing parts and components of automotive systems, testing and adjusting parts, and performing routine maintenance and repair of equipment. Responsibilities also include performing scheduled maintenance service, advising customers on work performed and future repair requirements, and completing reports to record problems and work performed.

Responsibilities:

  • Move tools, equipment, and materials.

  • Signal safety procedures to other workers and the general public.

  • Clean machines and work areas.

  • Adjust, repair, or replace parts and components of automotive systems.

  • Test and adjust parts.

  • Assist in routine maintenance and repair of equipment.

  • Perform scheduled maintenance service.

  • Test and adjust units to specifications.

  • Advise customers on work performed and future repair requirements.

  • Complete reports to record problems and work performed.

  • Review work orders and discuss work with supervisor.

  • Provide customer service.

Qualifications:

  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required.

  • Willingness to relocate.

  • Ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Ability to follow safety procedures.

  • Good communication skills.

  • Previous experience in automobile repair services is an asset.
