Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Gas Fitter, to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for measuring and marking reference points for the installation of gas lines and equipment, installing and maintaining meters and regulators, and servicing gas heating units and their components. They will also repair and service gas appliances and related equipment, advise clients regarding standards and safety features of gas units and systems, and study drawings and specifications to determine installation layouts and required materials.
Responsibilities:

Measure and mark reference points for installation of gas lines and equipment.

Install and maintain meters, regulators, and gas lines between gas unit and gas meter.

Install, maintain, and service gas heating units and their components.

Repair and service gas appliances and related equipment.

Advise clients regarding standards, safety features, and maintenance of gas units and systems.

Study drawings and specifications to determine the layout of the installation and materials required.

Test and adjust control mechanisms and check pipes and piping connections for gas leaks using gas detecting devices.

Test and replace defective equipment or components.

Troubleshoot and isolate faults.
Qualifications:
-
Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
-
1 year to less than 2 years of experience.

Gas Fitter Trade Certification.

Strong knowledge of gas safety regulations and procedures.

Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
